The Institute for Sustainable Diversity and Inclusion (ISDI) is a non-profit organization based in the Pacific Northwest, co-founded by Effenus Henderson. ISDI is dedicated to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion through educational programs, research, and advocacy. The organization serves as a resource for businesses, government agencies, and academic institutions, helping them build sustainable DEI frameworks that drive organizational change and foster inclusive environments. Through initiatives like the Northwest Diversity Learning Series, ISDI provides ongoing learning opportunities for DEI practitioners and leaders, ensuring they remain equipped to meet the evolving challenges of the workplace.

National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA)

The National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA) is a vital voice for diversity and inclusion in the architecture profession. NOMA works to champion the professional growth of minority architects, provide a forum for networking, and advocate for policies that promote racial equity in the design and building industries. The Inclusion Allies Coalition is a global network of professionals, organizations, and thought leaders committed to fostering inclusive workplaces and communities. The Coalition brings together experts from a variety of fields to share best practices, resources, and strategies for advancing DEI across industries. As a member of this coalition, Effenus Henderson contributes his deep expertise in diversity and inclusion to a community of practitioners dedicated to dismantling barriers and promoting equity. The Inclusion Allies Coalition provides a platform for collaboration, advocacy, and action, helping members create meaningful, lasting change in their organizations and beyond.

 

International Organization for Standardization (ISO)

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is an independent, non-governmental international organization that develops and publishes standards across a wide range of industries. Effenus Henderson has played a pivotal role as the convenor of the working group responsible for the development of ISO’s global standard on diversity and inclusion (ISO 30415). This standard offers organizations around the world a framework for fostering inclusive practices that promote diversity, equity, and belonging. Through his work with ISO, Henderson has helped create a globally recognized benchmark for DEI, supporting organizations in their efforts to meet international standards of fairness and inclusion.
